Police . are asking drivers to slow down during this cold weather.
Snow and ice have been melting during the day and then freezing at night, causing the roads to re-freeze, making driving extremely dangerous.
People driving SUVs also are asked to slow down. With this type of vehicle, they feel they still can drive safely in snow and ice because of four-wheel drive. While these vehicles do have the ability to have more traction to move in the snow, remember they still have to be stopped, and this appears to be the cause of a lot of accidents with SUVs.
From Jan. 1, police have investigated 32 motor vehicle accident, 14 of which involved SUVs, which usually roll over.
