New McGreevey bill embarrassing to resident

Gov. James McGreevey signed a bill into law Jan. 20 that prohibits using a cell phone while driving unless there is an additional reason for a police officer to stop the driver. Thus, it is wrong to use a cell phone while driving if you have a taillight out, but fine otherwise.

What is he thinking? This is embarrassing to me as a New Jersey resident.
