EMACC scholarship ap­plications now available

The Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce (EMACC) has announced applications are now available for scholarships to be awarded by its education foundation to students in vocational fields, students returning to school after interruption, and students transitioning from junior or community college to four-year schools.

Applicants must live or work in Eatontown, Fair Haven, Little Silver, Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Red Bank, Rumson, Sea Bright, Shrewsbury and Tinton Falls, or be employed by a Chamber member regardless of location. Application deadline is May 1, and applications are available at the Chamber office at 170 Broad St., Red Bank.

The chamber will hold "An Epicurean Evening — A Catered Affair" March 1 from 6-9 p.m. at Old Orchard Manor, Monmouth Road, Eatontown. Cost is $50 per person, and reservations are required.

Featured will be foods from several area restaurants, door prizes, and various wines, mixed drinks and specialty beers. Each guest will also receive a cookbook of various recipes from participating restaurants, caterers, and chamber members and friends.

The chamber will present "Effective Techniques for One-on-One Marketing" March 10 from 7:45-10 a.m. at Oyster Point Hotel, 146 Bodman Place, Red Bank. Cost for the program and breakfast is $26 for nonmembers, $16 for members and a $5 surcharge for nonregistered walk-ins. Guest speakers will be attorney Robert F. Schillberg and Brian Rechten, owner of Omega Promotional Products, Middletown. Preregistration is required.

"Spring into Networking" will be March 25 from 5:30-8 p.m. at McLoone’s Riverside, 816 Ocean Ave., Sea Bright. Price is $35 for nonmembers, $25 for members, and a $5 surcharge for walk-ins. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and hot chafing-dish foods. No refunds will be made after March 22.
