The Salvation Army to receive EFSP funding

United Way of Monmouth County, Farmingdale, has announced The Salvation Army, Red Bank, was recently awarded funding from The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program (EFSP).

Approximately $326,000 in federal funds under the EFSP has been awarded to Monmouth County to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the area. The Salvation Army is one of five community agencies to receive funding.

The EFSP is a federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. The local board of the EFSP is chaired by Robert Hodnett, director of Catholic Charities, Red Bank, and United Way of Monmouth County.
