Police think flashing may be related to prior incident

WOODBRIDGE — Police believe two incidents of indecent exposure may be related.

In the latest incident, a man exposed his genitals and buttocks to several children playing in a park on Lyon Avenue at 1:35 p.m. Feb. 14, according to police.

Officers dispatched to the scene could not locate the suspect, but were provided with the description of a white male, thin in build, who appeared to be in his early 20’s.

Reports said the suspect arrived to and departed from the scene in an older model blue sedan, possibly a Buick Regal, with blue license plates.

In a similar incident Feb. 1, two women reported being flashed at the corner of Broad and East streets in Sewaren.

That suspect was reported to have pulled up to them in what was described as a blue, 2-door, older model sedan, and was described as a heavyset white male, approximately 18 years of age.

Woodbridge Police Capt. Charles Rowinski said the department is looking into the possibility the incidents are related.
