The Women’s Business Center of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners will offer its 12-hour "Start Right" class in four three-hour sessions beginning March 8.

"Start Right" focuses on how to open a business, presented in the format of preparing a formal written business plan. Legal, marketing, accounting and financing will be addressed in depth. The Women’s Business Center is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership and corporate sponsor Fleet Bank.

Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon March 8, 15, 22 and 29 at HQ Global Workplaces, 440 Route 9 south, Freehold Township, in room 1A. The program is open to the public, and men and women are welcome to attend. The cost is $96 and preregistration is required. Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly general meeting March 4, 8:30 a.m. at the chamber office, 17 Broad St., Freehold. David Biederman of the New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs will discuss "Protecting Yourself Against Identity Theft and Fraud."

The cost is $10 per person and includes continental breakfast.

Dr. Steven Lemberger, a podiatric surgeon with an office on Stillwells Corner Road in Freehold Township, recently completed the Ossatron training course on extracorporeal shock wave therapy. The course reviews the newest techniques in non-invasive treatment of chronic heel pain. The treatment is FDA approved for plantar fasciitis. Lemberger will be performing the procedure at the Robert Wood Johnson Surgical Center in East Brunswick.

Network Plus will hold networking events at Manhattan Steakhouse, Oakhurst, on the following Mondays: March 1, 15 and 29. Bonnie Kuebler of Howell was honored recently for her years of service to Monmouth County. The event took place at an employees awards luncheon sponsored by the Monmouth County Board of Freeholders. Kuebler has been employed by the Monmouth County Engineering Department for 30 years. Freeholder Thomas J. Powers presented her with her service pin.

Absolute Party DJ’s, based in Marlboro, has announced that it will celebrate its grand opening March 1. Owners Damon Dietz and Craig Margolin have entertained at weddings and other events for a number of years, and are now venturing out on their own.

Iris Silverberg, a sales associate with Prudential New Jersey Properties, has been named the Manalapan office’s sales associate of the year for 2003, mark­ing the third time in four years that she has received this honor.

With more than 15 years of experience in negotiating real estate transactions for both buyers and sellers, Silverberg, a lo­cal resident for the past 30 years, special­izes in single-family properties, town­houses and luxury properties throughout Monmouth County. Margaret DiBella, Manalapan, has joined the Marlboro office of Century 21 Mack-Morris Iris Lurie as a sales associ­ate.

DiBella received the New Jersey As­sociation of Realtors’ Circle of Excellence Sales awards in 2002-03 and the Million Dollar Sales Club awards in 1998-99. The Council of Residential Specialists desig­nated her as a certified residential spe­cialist (CRS), which is held by fewer than 5 percent of all Realtors, according to the National Association of Realtors. She also has a GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, is an accredited buyer repre­sentative (ABR), a certified new home sales professional (CSP), and a member of the Real Estate Cyberspace Society, which focuses on using the latest real es­tate technology.

DiBella has 10 years of real estate ex­perience as well as a background in fi­nance, having worked on Wall Street for 23 years. She currently serves on Mon­mouth County’s Education and Legisla­tive committees, and is president-elect for the Women’s Council of Realtors.
