Barbara J. Buono

Miss Buono, 49, of Tinton Falls died Feb. 3 at St. Barnabas Hospice Center and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Long Branch, she was a lifelong shore resident. She was a learning generalist assistant vice president at Wachovia Bank, North Brunswick, for the past 22 years. Prior to that, she was a teacher in East Orange for several years. She was a communicant of St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael J. and Jennie M. Tarricone Buono; and a brother, Michael C. Buono. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Pompey Torchia of Eaton­town; a sister-in-law, Ida Buono of Long Branch; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Dorothea’s Church. Interment was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Melchiore F. Rizzuto

Mr. Rizzuto, 81, of Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls, died Feb. 25 in Tinton Falls. Born in East Orange, he resided in Shrewsbury and the Lincroft section of Middletown before moving to Tinton Falls. Mr. Rizzuto was the founder and president of Rizzuto Construction Co. Inc. He served as a lead navigator with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and received the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Distinguished Unit Citation, and the European Theatre Ribbon with three Battle Stars. He was a charter member of the Elmwood Tigers Athletic Association, East Orange. Mr. Rizzuto was predeceased by his wife, Catherine. He is survived by two sons, Victor Rizzuto of Wilmington, N.C., and Anthony Rizzuto of Lincroft; two daughters, Renee Dondero of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown and Melanie Natelson of Princeton Junction; three brothers, Felix, Victor and Raymond; two sisters, Catherine and Antoinette; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Elizabeth Rowan Neale

Mrs. Neale, 79, of Monmouth Beach died Dec. 20 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in New York City, she resided there before moving to Monmouth Beach several years ago. She was employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. before her retirement. Mrs. Neale was a communicant of the Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. She enjoyed being with her family and time at the beach. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, F. Brent Neale, a former mayor of Monmouth Beach; and a brother, Edward W. Rowan. Mrs. Neal is survived by a sister, Mary A. Meehan of Rumson; one cousin; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the Church of the Precious Blood, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements.

Walter J. Migut

Mr. Migut, 80, of South River died Jan. 7 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as chief film cutter at E.I. DuPont Photo Products, Parlin section of Sayreville, where he worked for 43 years. His wife, Sophie Ceslowski Migut, died in 1991. Surviving are a son, Paul of South River; two brothers, Chester Migut of South River and Frank Migut of Bradley Beach; two sisters, Rose Banach of South River and Jean Montigros of Red Bank; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Jamesburg.

Edna M. McGuire

Mrs. McGuire, 95, of North Arlington and Middletown died March 1 at Riverview Medi­cal Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, she resided in Jersey City prior to moving to North Arlington 30 years ago. She was an ac­countant at Montgomery Ward Department Store, New York City, for five years, retiring in 1970. She was a communicant at and member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. She was a member of the Benstead Club of Kearny, the Interfaith Club, recording secretary officer of the Woman’s Club, and a volunteer at Jeffer­son School, all North Arlington. She was pre­deceased by her husband, John J. McGuire in 1971. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, John J. and Joan McGuire Jr. of Roselle, and Thomas J. McGuire of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Patricia A. McGuire and Bernadette McGuire, both of North Arlington; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be March 3 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gather­ing will be March 4 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

Louis J. Massetti

Mr. Massetti, 82, of Union Beach died Feb. 4 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided there prior to moving to Union Beach 54 years ago. He was a claims manager at Frenkel Company Inc., New York City, for 38 years, retiring in 1985. Mr. Massetti served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, as well as a member of the Holy Family Seniors and past president of its Holy Name Society. He was predeceased by two sisters, Christine Collangelo and Jenny Zupo. Mr. Massetti is survived by his wife, Madeline Garone Massetti; three sons, John Massetti of Evert, Wash., Louis F. Massetti of North Brunswick and Peter Massetti of Keyport; two brothers, Adam Massetti of Glen Cove, N.Y., and Joseph Massetti of Florida; a sister, Mary Gallari of Rockville Center, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Church. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.
