Menlo Girl Scouts will hold annual blood drive

The Menlo Park School Girl Scouts will hold its third annual blood drive at Menlo Park Elementary School, 155 Monroe Ave., Edison, on March 18 from 3:30 to 9 p.m.

Since there is an urgent need for blood, support is greatly appreciated, organizers said. Free, on-site baby-sitting is available.

The donor must be at least 110 pounds, provide ID and be 17 to 75 years old.

Ninety percent of medications are acceptable, even if donor has high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or has recovered from Lyme disease.

Body piercings are acceptable; tattoos must be 1 year old.
