Novelist will discuss local Colonial history

Karen Swee, author of "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Murder," a mystery novel set in Colonial New Brunswick, will read from her book and discuss her research into local Colonial history at 1 p.m. on March 27 at the Old Bridge Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

The novel tells the tale of Abigail Lawrence, a New Brunswick mother and tavern keeper during the American Revolution who finds a man stabbed in a tavern room. The plot blends solving the crime with lo­cal Revolutionary War history. For more information, call Tim at (732) 721-5600, ext. 2313.
