Plays-in-the-Park will hold summer auditions

Plays-in-the-Park, Roosevelt Park, Edison, will hold open auditions on April 23 at 7 p.m., and April 24 and April 25 at noon.

All auditions are held at the Stephen J. Capestro Theater in Roosevelt Park, Edison. A pianist will be provided, and those auditioning should prepare their best 16 bars of an up-tempo song and bring in the sheet music in the proper key. There are no children’s roles this summer. The majority of the roles are for adults, with a possibility of some dancing roles to be filled by older teenagers.

Temple Emanu-El plans spring concert

Temple Emanu-El, 100 James St., Edison, will hold its annual spring concert on May 2 at 7 p.m.

The evening will include secular and Jewish music, and this year’s event, "Familiar Faces," features spe­cial guests, cantors Sally Neff and Martha Novick joining student Cantor Lauren Bandman. They will perform with the Temple Emanu-El Adult Choir, accompanied by Jean Mitrosky.

The program has several ticket op­tions:

•Angel, $250; includes two tickets, choice of preferred seating, CD of event, preconcert reception, acknowl­edgment in the concert program.

•Patron, $100, includes two tickets, reserved seats, acknowledgment in the concert program.

•Adult admission, $25; senior citi­zens, $20; students, $18; all before April 23. After April 23, all tickets will be $30.00.
