During National Volunteer Week, CentraState Healthcare System honored its many medical center volunteers with a luncheon at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan April 21.
During 2003, volunteers contributed more than 65,700 hours in more than 55 departments — equivalent to 31 full-time employees.
CentraState’s many volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and they range in age from 14 to 91.
Throughout the week, posters on display in the gallery above the main lobby highlighted projects that groups of volunteers completed over the last year to benefit the medical center.
Also, Howell High School Rebel Yell Chorus performed in the lobby, throughout the nursing units, and at Monmouth Crossing.
