Mr. Hamilton, 42, of Red Bank/Middletown died on April 1 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in Belleville and formerly resided in Union Beach before moving to Middletown. Mr. Hamilton was employed as a chef at Jakeabob’s Restaurant, Union Beach. He attended the Culinary Institute of America, New York. Mr. Hamilton was predeceased by his mother, Cecilia Hamilton in 1972. He is survived by a daughter, Megan Lynn Hamilton of Manahawkin; his father, Richard Hamilton of Wall; a brother, Richard Hamilton of St. Cloud, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Donna Hamilton of Manchester; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Nelson Gaffrey of Wall; and a sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Bob Pruchnik of Middletown. Arrangements were made by the day Funeral Home, Inc., Keyport. A funeral Mass was offered at Holy Family Church, Union Beach, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

Teresa Palaia Mills

Mrs. Mills, 89, of Toms River died April 20 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Oceanport, she resided in the West End section of Long Branch and Fair Haven prior to moving to Toms River less than one year ago. She was a jewelry buyer at Steinbach’s department store, Asbury Park, for 10 years before retiring in 1973. Prior to that, she was employed at Lerner’s and managed Lane Bryant’s, both Red Bank. Mrs. Mills was predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Mills, in 1971. She is survived by a son, Alfred T. Mills of Toms River; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.

Janice D. Treola

Mrs. Treola, 55, of Katy, Texas, died on March 28 at Herman Memorial City Hospital, Houston, Texas. She was born in Long Branch and lived in Middletown before moving to Texas in 1991. Mrs. Treola was a self-employed mortgage broker and was a member of the Texas Mortgage Broker Association. She was predeceased by her father, Rudolph Smejkal and mother, Stella Nizolak; a stepson, Noah Levine; and brother-in-law, John Treola. Mrs. Treola is survived by a daughter, Lisa Treola of Katy, Texas; two sisters, Barbara Mascilak and Lawrence of Union Beach; and Paula Hofmann and her husband, Fred, of Point Pleasant; a brother, Rudolph Smejkal of Hightstown; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Smejkal of Manchester; Catherine Treola of Middletown; and Gloria Treola and Thomas of Florida. Arrangements were made by the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home inc., Middletown. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Catherine’s Church, North Middletown, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.

Matthew Lynch Heagney

Mr. Heagney, 40, of Old Greenwich, Conn., formerly of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died April 3 at home. He attended high school in the Middletown area. Mr. Heagney was director of equity capital markets at UBS Investment Bank, Stamford, Conn. He enjoyed time with his family, sailing, skiing and golf. He also ran in the Boston and New York marathons, and was an Eagle Scout. Mr. Heagney is survived by his mother, Mary T. Heagney; his children, A.J. and Kailee; a brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan and Ann Heagney of Pennsylvania; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Rick Bennett of Ocean, and Amy and William Hall of Oceanport; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.

Richard C. Widrich

Mr. Widrich, 77, of Eatontown died April 4 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a lifelong resident of Eatontown. He was a stone mason in the local area, retiring in 1990. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Eatontown Veterans of Foreign Wars, and BPOE, an exempt fireman with Eatontown Fire Department, and a member of the Eatontown First Aid Squad. He was a member of Friends of Photography. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret M. Mego Widrich in 1996. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carl R. and Margaret P. Widrich of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township; two daughters, Theresa Widrich of Ocean Township, and Francine Widrich of Liberty Corner; one granddaughter; and one niece. A funeral service was held at Braun Fu­neral Home, Eatontown. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, NJ APDA Chapter, Robert Wood John­son University Hospital, 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick 08901.

Mary Lou Sampoli Buono

Mrs. Buono, 80, of Long Branch died May 18 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Red Bank, she was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. Mrs. Buono was a bookkeeper and billing clerk at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, where she was employed 20 years before her retirement. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank "Shorty" Buono, in 1999. Mrs. Buono is survived by a son and daughter, Frank Buono and Lynne McGrath, both Long Branch; a brother, Louis Sampoli of Missouri; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. The Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, was in charge of arrangements.
