The Edison Scrabble Club meets in the Minnie E. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Ave., Edison, Saturdays from 1-5 p.m., and on Tuesdays from 7 – 10 p.m. The club is seeking players, regardless of residence, to participate. WHW to hold ‘work environment’ seminar

Women Helping Women (WHW) 224 Main St., Metuchen, will hold a two-part workshop on June 17 and 24 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The program will help inspire new ideas and teach new strategies for overcoming workplace stress and conflict says Bethann Albert, LSW, workshop leader. Metuchen Youth will host magic show June 4

The Metuchen Youth Development, Inc. will host its June Magic Show at the Edgar School, Brunswick Avenue, Metuchen, on June 4 at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds are used to educate teens against substance abuse. Metuchen Arts will host music program

The Metuchen Cultural Arts Commission will host its CoffeeHouse program at the Presbyterian Social Center, Woodbridge Avenue, Metuchen, on June 6 from 3-5 p.m. Classical music and jazz are featured, and performers are award-winning concert artists. The Metuchen Lions Club will host a flea market at the New Street parking lot, Metuchen, on June 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the blind and hearing impaired.
