County chamber to host installation luncheon

Installation of Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce (MCRCC) 2004-05 officers and board of directors will take place at the chamber’s annual luncheon set to begin at 11:30 a.m. on June 8 at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe. The event also will include the chamber president’s State of the Chamber address.

The 41 officers and board of directors members come from a diverse group of Middlesex-area organizations. It is their responsibility to help guide the organization and foster participation in its many programs.

William Hagaman, a partner at the New Jersey-headquartered accounting firm WithumSmith and Brown, will serve as chairman of the board. Previously, Hagaman served as MCRCC treasurer for nine years.

Chris Phelan, chamber president, will outline initiatives for the coming year in his State of the Chamber address. Topics will include the chamber’s strategic plan, marketing and communication initiatives (including the launch of a new e-newsletter), new committees (such as the Middlesex County Young Professionals group) and a lineup of new events slated for the coming months. Phelan joined the chamber in November 2003 after having served four years as founding president of the Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Members and nonmembers are invited to attend the meeting. To reserve a seat at the installation meeting and luncheon, log on to www.mcrcc.org, or call (732) 821-1700.
