The Sayreville-based Garden State Knights baseball club will hold tryouts June 26-27 for its fall 2004/spring 2005 travel teams from ages 9 through 15. The players age as of Aug. 15 will be used to determine teams.

The following are the results of the Tamarack Women’s Nine-Hole Golf Association’s May 27 outing — even holes, half handicap. Kelly Guariglia of Edison won the A Flight with a 13, followed by Monroe’s Ellie de la Bandera (13, match of cards), Mary Ann Gelsinon (14) and South River’s Joan Hoskins (14). Spotswood’s Jean Ertle won the B Flight with 13, followed by Piscataway’s Rosanne Marosy (13), East Brunswick’s Hannah Akawie (14) and Milltown’s Dot Terringer (15). Monroe’s Fran Poulin won the C Flight with an 11, followed by Milltown’s Doris Colgrove (12), Edison’s Ronnie Bohn (13) and Kendall Park’s Joyce Nicolaison (14). East Brunswick’s Edythe Gutman and Plainsboro’s Jeanne Reaph tied for fewest putts with 15.
