MOMS Club will hold

July monthly meeting

The MOMS Club of Edi­son/Metuchen will hold its monthly meeting at the Heritage in Clara Barton, 1015 Amboy Ave., Edi­son, on July 8 at noon.

The club is looking for new mem­bers.

The MOMS Club is a nonprofit, na­tional support group for mothers who stay at home with their chil­dren.

The group offers a wide range of ac­tivities including play groups, a monthly MOMS night out, special pro­grams for mothers and children, and get-togethers for the whole family.

Edison Scrabble Club

seeks new players

The Edison Scrabble Club meets in the Minnie E. Veal Community Cen­ter, 1070 Grove Ave., Edison, Satur­days from 1-5 p.m., and on Tuesdays from 7 – 10 p.m.

The club is seeking players, re­gardless of residence, to participate.

Players vary in age and skill level, and they can participate in free game sessions. Regis­tration is not necessary.

Kids’ summer art camp

offered in Metuchen

The Westerhoff School of Music and Art, 340 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, will offer a "Summer Art Camp for Kids" from June 28-July 30.

The five-week program consists of separate workshops, which can be taken consecutively or individually. It is open to children ages 6-11. The following workshops will be offered: Watercolor painting and sketch­ing, June 28-July 2; Puppet-making workshop, July 5-9; Jewelry making (boys welcome), July 12-16; Paper crafts, July 19-23; World arts and crafts, July 26-30. Summer concert series

to be held in Metuchen

The Metuchen Recreation and Cul­tural Arts Commissions will hold its summer concert series at the Metuchen Senior Citizen Center, 12 Center St., on July 29, Aug. 5, 12, 19 and 26 and Sept. 5 at 8 p.m.
