Harry Eichlin

   NEW HOPE — Harry L. "Bud" Eichlin, 89, a lifelong resident of New Hope, died Sunday, July 4, at his residence.
   Mr. Eichlin was a decorated Army veteran. He served during World War II in the Battle of the Bulge and was a recipient of a Purple Heart.
   He was an honorary member of the New Hope American Legion Post 79, a member of New Hope Eagle Fire Company and a charter member of New Hope Sportsman’s Club.
   He was a member of Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, a life member of the North American Hunting Club and a member of the National Rifle Association.
   Mr. Eichlin was a former supervisor in metal fabrication at Aronco Corp.
   He was the widower of Marion C. Corrigan Eichlin and brother of the late John D. Eichlin and Mabel E. Pittore.
   Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judith E. and James Melson of Doylestown, Donna E. and Samuel Ollio of Lambertville and Katherine F. McLeod of Solebury; a son and daughter-in-law, John G. and Elizabeth Eichlin of Clarion, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, Pamela, James Jr., Jane, Thomas, Anthony, Kimberly, Samuel Jr., Carolyn, Elizabeth, Scott, Craig and Elisabeth; and 10 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Grace, Cary, Samantha, Melanie, Jeffrey Jr., Peter and Natalia.
   Services were held Saturday at Leaver-Cable Funeral Home, Buckingham, Pa. Burial was in Thompson Memorial Cemetery, Solebury.
