The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is recruiting volunteers to help work at bloodmobiles in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The hours are flexible, requiring only five hours once or twice a month. Duties include registering donors as they come in to donate blood, escorting donors from the donor bed to the refreshment area, and working in the refreshment area.
Also needed are volunteer drivers to be part of a team that picks up and delivers blood donations from bloodmobile sites in the Jersey Coast area to the Musser Blood Center in Philadelphia. To qualify, drivers must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be dependable. There is a reimbursement program for mileage expenses.
