Henry Mehl

Mr. Mehl, 77, of Florida, and formerly North Brunswick, died Sept. 6 at Northwest Medical Center, Margate, Fla. Born in Newark, he resided in North Brunswick prior to moving to Florida in 1980. He was a retired technician at Twin County Grocers, Edison. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Monsignor Mugnano Council No. 6572, New Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Rose Pallone Mehl; a daughter, Denise Mehl of North Brunswick; a son, Chuck Mehl of Lydon, Vt.; a sister, Erna Quilan of Georgia; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Karen Reppert “Nana” Ayers

Ms. Ayers, 61, of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, died Sept. 10 at home. Born in Joplin, Mo., she resided in the South Brunswick area for several years. She was employed at UMG Family Medicine, New Brunswick. She was a communicant of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, South Brunswick. She was a member of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, North Brunswick. She is survived by her mother, Constance Reppert of Monroe; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Nikeela Ayers of Nevada; three daughters and one son-in-law, Susan McKee of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, Nicole Ayers of Clinton, and Audrey and Adam Belitz of Dayton; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held at St. Barnabas Church. Arrangements were by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords 08863.
