The Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce will present “The A.M. Connection” Sept. 24 from 7:45-9 a.m. at the Chamber at Distribution Way, Suite 101, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. The new event is free for members, and is designed to help sales/business development professionals locate new opportunities. A “Chamber Welcome Reception” will be Sept. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, Woodbridge. The reception is for new members, members that have renewed as of April 1, and invited guests.

“Einstein’s Alley Breakfast” will be Sept. 28 at 7:30 a.m. at NEC Laboratories America Inc., 4 Independence Way, Princeton. Guest speaker will be New Jersey Secretary of Commerce, Virginia Bauer. The event is free. “Stop Spam Now” will be Sept. 29 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at DeVry University, North Brunswick. Cost is $40 for nonmembers and $25 for members. “12 @ 12” will be Sept. 30 at noon at the Chamber office. The Rutgers Cooperative Extension has announced its gardening series “If Plants Could Talk” will continue throughout the year the first Saturday of each month, with the next episode Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m. on NJN Public Television. The show hosted by Bill Hlubik will feature a tour of Rutgers Gardens, tips on which plants to add interest to landscapes during the fall season, and a visit to a “pick your own” farm. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, will offer a free program about surgical options for patients with Parkinson’s disease Oct. 5, beginning with a light supper at 6:15 p.m. and lecture from 7-8:30 p.m. The free event is sponsored by the New Jersey American Parkinson Disease Association’s information and referral center at the hospital.
