The Squankum Volunteer Fire Company will sponsor Ty Godfrey Day on Oct. 2 at the firehouse, 271 Squankum Road, Howell. Ty, 8, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2003. He has undergone surgery and hospitalization, in addition to chemotherapy, radiation, and speech, occupational and physical rehabilitation. The fund-raiser will assist the family with medical bills. ‘Treasure Trove Yard Sale’ benefits community
