Begin Halloween season with an eerie trip in time

Allaire Village Inc. the nonprofit group supporting the educational programming at Historic Village at Allaire State Park, Route 524, Wall Township, will present “The Halloween Hayride of the 1830s Howell Works Community” Oct. 16 and 23 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The hayride will start in front of the visitor center and enter the woods for a trip to the Historic Village at Allaire. As guests travel through the village they will meet peculiar individuals and witness mysterious customs.

At the bonfire in front of the carriage house, a story teller will weave spooky tales of events from long ago. The tour guide will also take visitors to James P. Music of the period will be playing at the Allaire Village Chapel to complete the visit.

The cost for the tour is $10 per person. Tickets are limited to 800 so advance purchase is required.
