The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is currently recruiting volunteers to help work at bloodmobiles in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The hours are flexible; requiring five hours one or two times a month. Duties would include registering donors as they come in to donate blood, escorting donors from the donor bed to the refreshment area and working in the refreshment area.
Volunteer drivers are also being sought to be part of a team that picks up and delivers blood donations from bloodmobile sites in the Jersey Coast Area to the Musser Blood Center in Philadelphia. Requirements to qualify include a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and dependability. There is a reimbursement program for mileage expenses.
