Chefs to help raise funds

Those with a passion for fine food can join some of the area’s most accomplished chefs at the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction Nov. 8, from 6-9:30 p.m. at The Circle Landmark, Lakehurst.

The event will feature signature dishes from premier Monmouth County and Ocean County restaurants, wines and spirits.

Participants confirmed to date are Brooks Seafood, Café at Used to Be’s, Capone’s, Ciao Bella Gelato, Chocolate Carousel, Coffee Distributing Corp., Dave’s Famous Ribs.

Also, Flying Fish Brewery, Gallo Wines, Labrador Lounge, Lori La Fon-taine Culinary Arts, Lusty Lobster, Metropolitan Café, Nonna’s, Osaka at Dockside, Salt Creek Grille, Staten House Coffee, Tommy G’s, Trattoria Portobello Cucina Italiana, Trattoria Portobello Al Mare, Villa Vittoria, and World Class ShopRites.

Other highlights of the evening will include entertainment, a silent auction of unique gifts, and a chance to win a “Gour-met Progressive Dinner,” including transportation and overnight accommodations. In addition, premier ticket holders will feast on a gourmet four-course dinner with wine, while noted chefs entertain them with a “Chef Showdown” judged competition.

Proceeds from the Signature Chefs Auction will fund March of Dimes research and programs that will help find the causes and cures for preterm birth and other health problems affecting newborns.

Tickets for the auction are $75 per person or $125 per couple for event tickets, and $125 per person or $200 per couple for premier tickets. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available.
