N.J. Hoops Newsletter, a leading New Jersey scouting source for high school basketball talent, recently released its lists of the Top 100 players in the State of New Jersey, by graduating class. Red Bank Regional High School had five players named, while the Shore Conference had 30 players selected in all.
Leading the way for Red Bank is senior Keyron Sheard, a second team All-Shore Conference player as a junior and standout quarterback on the Bucs football team this year. Sheard was named the 73rd best senior in New Jersey. Senior Rhameer Cottman joined Sheard on the Top 100 Seniors list as an honorable mention selection. Cottman, a 6-foot-3-inch receiver on the football team with a 42-inch vertical leap, has teamed up with Sheard to form one of the most potent passing combinations this year in the Shore Conference.
Kyle Fitzgerald and Casey Peters both made the list of Top Sophomores at numbers 35 and 62, respectively. Fitzgerald, a 6-foot-5-inch forward, also garnered three varsity letters as a freshman. Peters, a 6-foot-3-inch swingman, has also played on the varsity soccer team the past two season. Rounding out the list is Ryan Peters, Casey’s brother. The 6-foot-2-inch freshman was an honorable mention selection on the Top 50 Freshmen list.
