Club to hold ‘make and take’ events in December

The Navesink Garden Club, Red Bank, will visit Manna House, Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, Dec. 7 for a “make and take” workshop. Club members and Manna House residents will use plant materials to create holiday centerpieces and ornaments.

The club will hold its annual Christmas greens workshop Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church hall, White Street, Red Bank. Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items for food baskets. Refreshments will be served. Students from the West Side Christian Academy, Red Bank, will join club members at 10:45 a.m. for a “make and take” program.

A “make and take” program will also be held Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. with the Boys and Girls Club of Asbury Park. For more information, call Bea at (732) 842-9174.

The club will present a lunch and theater event Jan. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Joe & Maggie’s Bistro, 591 Broadway, Long Branch, and the New Jersey Repertory Theatre, 179 Broadway. The cost is $65 per per son.

Attendees may choose from chicken, salmon or meatloaf. The theater performance will be “Touch of Rapture” by Mary Fengar Gail. The romantic comedy explores the mystery surrounding an artist’s legacy.
