COLTS NECK — The Sycamores are coming to the Colts Neck High School stage. The Cougar Catwalkers Drama Club will entertain audiences with their production of the 1938 Broadway hit “You Can’t Take It With You.”
Performances will take place on Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 19-20 at 8 p.m. in the Colts Neck High School auditorium, Five Points Road and Route 537.
“I feel very fortunate to be working with such a dedicated and talented cast and crew for my first show with the Colts Neck Drama Club,” said director Allyson Glasser. “Their creativity, energy and enthusiasm impress and inspire me every day, and I am very proud of them.”
Come see the dysfunctional Syca-mores, who will spend their time making fireworks, playing the xylophone, feeding snakes, and much more, while their younger daughter, Alice (senior Rory Fish) becomes engaged to Tony Kirby (sophomore Tony Rugnetta).
Alice does not want Tony’s prim and proper parents (Michelle Crane and Steven Barrantes) to see her family as they really are, and so she carefully plans a dinner party for everyone to become acquainted.
With strict instructions to her family regarding their behavior, what could go wrong? Find out what happens when the Kirbys show up one night too early.
See the cast of 19 Cougar Catwalkers, with leading parts played by sophomore Paul Pontrelli as Grandpa, sophomore Heidi Schoenenberger as Penny, senior Alex Bisignano as Paul, sophomore Ashley Homan as Essie and senior Eric Hollenbeck as Ed.
Tickets are $6 and may be purchased at the door.
