Gert Feldman

Mrs. Feldman, 95, of the Covered Bridge section of Manalapan, died Nov. 11 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in New York for 85 years before moving to New Jersey 10 years ago. Following her retirement, Mrs. Feldman served for many years as president of her Queens apartment building. After moving to Manalapan, she remained active and was instrumental in helping those in need in the Covered Bridge community. Mrs. Feldman was predeceased by her husband, Philip. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Jan Feldman, of Marlboro; a sister, Sylvia, of Chicago; three grandchildren; and her friend Karen. Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.

John Joseph Kilijanski

Mr. Kilijanski, 89, of Lanoka Harbor, died Nov. 11 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Bayonne, he was raised on the Curtin Farm in Millstone and later became its owner, working as a farmer until age 50. Following his farming career, he worked locally as a project manager for The Austin Co., based in Chicago. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Forked River, and a former parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Mr. Kilijanski enjoyed volunteering in the community for various churches and hospitals. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Leo Kilijanski. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, and two brothers, Stanley Kilijanski, of Brielle, and Ziggy Kilijanski, of Florida. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Wesley Robinson

Thomas Wesley Robinson, 5 weeks old, of Freehold, died Nov. 7. He was born in Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather, Thomas F. Myers, and his paternal great-grandfather, Wesley Robinson. Surviving are his parents, Katie Danielle Beese and Scott Thomas Robinson; his maternal grandparents, Katherine Myers, of Virginia Beach, Va., and John Beese, of Jackson; his paternal grandparents, Jacqueline and Alfred Robinson, of Freehold Township; his maternal great-grandparents, Lucy M. Myers, of Trinity, Fla., and Jennie and Thomas Beese, of Freehold; his paternal great-grandmother, Helen Robinson, of Sun City Center, Fla.; and an uncle, John Thomas Beese, of Freehold. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Lionel J. “Lee” Coulombe

Mr. Coulombe, 82, of Matawan, died Nov. 11 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He resided in Milford, Conn., before moving to Matawan 43 years ago. Mr. Coulombe was a research engineer at Singer Manufacturing Co., Elizabeth, for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot during World War II. He was a life member of Washington Engine Company of Matawan Fire Department. Mr. Coulombe is survived by his wife of 46 years, Stella; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Lee Coulombe Jr. of New York City, David and Christine Coulombe of Freehold, and Paul W. Coulombe of Matawan; a daughter, M. Celia Coulombe of New York City; a brother, Raymond Coulombe of LaGrange, Ga.; two sisters, Claire Phalen of Milford, Conn., and Rita Nomejko of Arkansas; and four grandchildren. Interment took place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. The Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, Morganville, was in charge of arrangements. Camille (Masi) Tortorici

Mrs. Tortorici, 85, of Manalapan, died Nov. 8 at home. Born in New York City, she had lived in Staten Island, N.Y., and Rochester, N.Y., before moving to Manalapan two years ago. Prior to retiring 20 years ago, she had worked as an executive secretary for Tilstone Roberts Inc., New York City. She was a communicant of St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Staten Island. Mrs. Tortorici was predeceased in 1983 by her husband, Charles Tortorici, and in July 2002 by a son, Robert Tortorici, as well as by a brother and a sister. Surviving are a son, Thomas Tortorici, of Matawan; and five grandchildren, Jacquelin, Anthony, Nicholas, Joseph and Al. A graveside service was held at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, with Day Funeral Home, Keyport, in charge of arrangements.

Georgia Williams

Mrs. Williams, 89, of Freehold, died Nov. 9 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Boydton, Va., she had been employed by Eisner’s Clothing Co. in Freehold and Belmar. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and Lee B. Gibson Temple No. 1014, both of Freehold. Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her husband, Lee B. Williams Sr.; three sisters, Carrie M. Oliver (her twin), Alfrata A. Walker and Mary Oliver; three brothers, John, James and William Oliver; and a great-grandson, William Jaiheen S. Garrett. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth A. Scales, of Freehold; a son, Lee B. Williams Jr., of Eatontown; a brother, Ervin Oliver, of Freehold; a sister, Virginia Mosley, of Newark; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Oliver, of Freehold, and Pauline Killerbrew and Ivy Oliver, both of Virginia; a close friend, Pam Harper; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Lee B. Gibson Temple services were held, followed by funeral services at Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold. Interment took place at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Laura Rocha Conti

Mrs. Conti, 76, of East Brunswick, died Nov. 3 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Conti of East Brunswick and James Conti of Allentown; three daughters, Patricia Conti of Freehold and Mary Conti and Carolyn Conti, both of East Brunswick; four brothers, Adolfo, Hans, Gustavo and Paulo Rocha, all of Brazil; three sisters, Ruth Chassee of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Thereza Cook and Martha Rocha, both of Brazil; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
