Monmouth University, West Long Branch, will hold its 30th annual holiday ball and “Celebration of Trees” Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the university’s Wilson Hall. The event is sponsored by the Monmouth University Library Association.
The ball will transform the historic hall into a forest with Christmas trees surrounding the dance floor, grand stairway and bandstand. Music will be provided by Tim McCloone and the Shirleys. The event will feature cocktails, dinner, cash raffle and a silent auction. There will also be the presentation of the 2004 Community and Humanities Award to James S. Vaccaro, chairman and CEO of Monmouth Community Bank, and Arthur F. Kelly Jr. will be honored as founder of the ‘Celebration of Trees.” Tickets are $175 each.
