“Toyland,” a live scale village, will be presented from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 4 and 5, at the Jackson Township Senior Center, 45 Don Connor Blvd. The display, which will feature pictures with Santa and` Mrs. Claus, singing around the piano, cookies in “Grandma’s Kitchen,” and handmade crafts for sale, is a gift to the community from the local senior citizens. Although there is no charge for the event, visitors are asked to donate to the Salvation Army Kettle that is in the building. Toys are not sold at the event.
A tree-lighting ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. at Jackson Town Hall, 95 West Veterans Highway. Light refreshments will be served. Santa and entertainment will complete the celebration.
