‘No Ordinary Night’ concerts to aid charities

  • The Community Christian Choirs, a group of singers from several churches in the central New Jersey area, will present its Christmas program, “No Ordinary Night,” in the coming weeks. The concerts will feature traditional and contemporary Christian holiday music sung by children, adults and soloists. There is no admission charge; a free-will offering will be collected, with 100 percent of all donations going to local charities.
  • The first performance will be a season debut for friends and family at 3 p.m. Nov. 28, with the public performance at 6 p.m. Both concerts will be held at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St., Allentown, and will benefit the Guatemala Mission. A nursery staffed by professional caretakers will be available at both performances.

Additional performances of “No Ordinary Night,” and the charities they will help to support, are as follows:

Dec. 5, 5 p.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, 801 W. State St., Trenton, to benefit the Union Industrial Home for Children; Dec. 11, 7 p.m., at Robbinsville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2290 Route 33, Robbinsville, to benefit Washington Township Meals on Wheels.; and Dec. 12, 6 p.m., at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, to benefit Visitation Home.

The choir has no concert scheduled yet for Dec. 4, and any organization interested in hosting a concert on that date should visit the Web site www.CCChoir.com. For more information, call (609) 587-7076.
