Everything Jewish by Chabad, Concordia Shopping Center, Monroe, will hold Hanukkah events for the community on Dec. 12. A full-day Hanukkah Wonderland is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program will include a hands-on workshop based on an authentic hand olive oil pressing. Participants will press and pound fresh olives into pure olive oil, following in the tradition of the ancient Maccabees. Holiday songs and crafts will follow. Hanukkah gelt will be distributed.
A Hanukkah celebration featuring music, dancing, free latkes and doughnuts and the kindling of a giant menorah will begin at 4 p.m. in front of the nonprofit store. The singing of Hanukkah songs and the distribution of treats will follow the menorah lighting. For details, call (609) 409-1000.
