Mr. Sacco, 73, of Yardville, died Nov. 23 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick prior to moving to Yardville one year ago. He was a barber at Sacco’s Barbershop, North Brunswick, for more than 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was also a professional accordion player and toured with Ted Mack, and performed with his own band as well. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by four daughters, Christine Kantenwein, of Barnegat, JoEllen Potocki, of Yardville, Jennifer Kramer, of Summerville, S.C., and Cheryl Witt, of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, James Sacco, of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Burke, 89, of North Brunswick, died Dec. 6 in Yardville. Born in New Brunswick, she resided there prior to moving to North Brunswick a few years ago. She taught in the New Brunswick elementary schools for several years. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, John S. Burke, in 1993; and a twin sister, Margaret Marino. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Diane Burke of Lewes, Del., and Dennis and Suzanne Burke of Yardville; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Dec. 10 at 8:15 a.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Mildred Salvaryn Winegar

Mrs. Winegar, 84, of Monroe, formerly of Spotswood and South River, died Nov. 28 in Monroe Village. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a laboratory technician at E.R. Squibb, North Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Albert T. Winegar; two daughters, Pamela Weis of North Brunswick and Blanche Gottel of Fairless Hills, Pa.; a son, Jeffrey Winegar of Mount Laurel; two sisters, Anne Wrobel of South River and Jean Strugala of Sayreville; and four grandchildren. Services are planned for 11 a.m. on Dec. 2 at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Interment will follow in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Mr. Krupa, 80, of South Brunswick, died Nov. 18 at Applegarth Care Center, Monroe Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had resided in Milltown before moving to South Brunswick 38 years ago. Mr. Krupa was a millwright at National Lead Co., Sayreville, before retiring in 1981. He served with the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a member of American Legion, Dennis A. Roland Post, Milltown; and the American Merchant Marine Veterans Association. Mr. Krupa is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria Pizzaia Krupa; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Frank Krupa of Lavalette, and James and Patty Krupa of Toms River; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sonia Krupa of South Brunswick, and Cheryl and Michael Tucciarone, and Gloria and James Gant, all of Toms River; a sister, Ann Cegielski of South River; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Burial took place at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown, Burlington County. The Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements. Catherine E. Abruzzi

Mrs. Abruzzi, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died Nov. 25 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, she resided in the Franklin Park section of Franklin Township prior to moving to Kendall Park 30 years ago. She was co-owner of Golden Tiger Karate School, North Brunswick. She was a communicant of St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church, Kendall Park. She is survived by her husband, Michael Abruzzi; two sons, Michael Abruzzi, of Yardley, Pa., and David Abruzzi, of Kendall Park; a sister, Mary Schaller, of Dothan, Ala.; two brothers, Tim Lyon, of Monroe Township, and Michael Lyon, of Kendall Park; and four grandchildren. Interment was at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Millie Schleifer Scarano

Mrs. Scarano, of North Brunswick, died Nov. 25 at home. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. She was predeceased by a son, Bobby; a sister, Bonnie Mary; and a brother, Jim. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob Scarano; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Millie Scarano, Judi and Joe Vitaliano, Katlilina Scarano, Doreen Scarano and Jeff McDowell, Denise and John Moreno, and Alexis and John Clementi-Pisapia; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Toni and Judy; and two brothers, Joseph and Tom. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Thomas Church. Arrangements were by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.
