Theresa Briganti
Theresa C. (Crachi) Briganti, 89, died Friday, Dec. 3, in Monroe Village.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Stewart Manor, Long Island, N.Y., Westfield, N.J., and Framingham, Mass., before moving to Rossmoor in 1985. She settled in Monroe Village nine years ago.
Ms. Briganti graduated with a degree in library science after attending Barnard College and Columbia University. She worked as a public librarian in Queens, N.Y., and Nassau County, Long Island, retiring many years ago. She was a parishioner of St. George Episcopal Church in Helmetta.
Her husband, Robert died last year. Her sister, Imperia Palmieri, and two brothers, Philip and Gaspare Crachi, also are deceased. She is survived by her brother, Domenico Jr., and his wife, Florence Crachi, of Northport, Long Island; a sister-in-law, Mildred Briganti of Morrisville, Pa.; 11 nieces and nephews; and many devoted friends.
Funeral services are under the direction of M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
