Gunfire spoiling quiet of Neshanic life

To the editor

Still another afternoon, in what was once "peaceful" Neshanic was spoiled … by incessant gunfire!
Not only that, we have to deal with so-called hunters being much closer to our homes than the 250 ft. ruling … which, when carefully considered, is very close.
Our guests on Thanksgiving hesitated about getting out of their cars … asking us if we thought it was safe, because the shooting was so loud and so close.
Neshanic`s reputation as a bucholic, lovely place to live, is fading quickly.
However, we not only have to deal with the hunting season, but, on Zion Road we seem to be forced into dealing with constant gunfire … which at times sounds as if cannons were being fired.
Many times in nice weather, as we were getting ready to eat lunch on the patio, we had to collect everything … go inside, shut all the windows and turn on a CD full blast … just to block the terrible shooting.
Somehow, I don`t recall having been asked to vote on this, sign some OK to have my life ruined or to do or say ANYTHING agreeing to all of this.
