Several sales associates in the Weichert, Realtors’ East Brunswick office recently were recognized for achieving goals in the month of November.

Mary Merullo, Joseph Marascio, David Baum, Carole Marie Lodish, Marjorie Yeh, Robyn Blocker, Joan Golden, Murtaza Manzur and Berkha Kishnani earned membership in the 500 Club for reaching a minimum of $500,000 in sales in the month.

Cristina Lacerda, Keri Zoumas and Peter Riga earned membership in the Elite Club for reaching a minimum of $1 million in sales in the month.

Donna Warters, Peter McCabe and Manuela Linares earned membership in the Top Producer’s Club for reaching a minimum of $2 million in sales in the month.

Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting, King of Prussia, Pa., recently honored East Brunswick franchise operator Uttam Patel for $1 million in sales. Patel owns the facility at 17-H Edgeboro Road, which achieved the $1 million mark for the eighth time. He will receive an 18-karat-gold commemorative ring with a diamond.

Employees of Kearny Federal Savings’ Spotswood branch, Main Street, recently took time off to donate blood at a recent blood drive held at Spotswood High School. Among those donating were Candace Wogan, teller; Rae Kee, assistant vice president and Spotswood Branch Manager; and Regina Kazar, teller. Kearny Federal Savings Bank, a federally chartered mutual savings bank, operates 25 full-service banking offices in Bergen, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Middlesex, Essex, Union and Ocean counties.

Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors, North Brunswick, has announced two associates were recognized for industry achievements during November. Eileen Thomas was recognized for listings, and Maria Reynolds for volume and units. Thomas was licensed in 1988, and is a recipient of the New Jersey Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence Award. She is a 31-year resident of Milltown. Reynolds has been licensed since 1986, and as a broker since 1988. A 24-year resident of North Brunswick, she has been the recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award since 1987.

Twin Boro Physical Therapy, Somerset, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The facility was begun by North Brunswick resident Joseph Mancuso, and was staffed by he, his wife Eileen, and Bev Haupt, North Brunswick. The staff now numbers 14. Mancuso is clinical director at the facility, which has local locations in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, and Parlin. The business is primarily referral-based from physicians, and spinal injuries account for 30 percent of its patients. Literacy Volunteers of Middlesex was recently awarded a $9,000 “Check into Literacy” grant to serve 30 communities and coordinate with 24 public libraries throughout Middlesex County. The grant will partially fund a full-time program director to recruit additional volunteer tutors in an effort to reduce a waiting list of 200 learners. Participants in the program are both English as a second language and basic literacy adult learners. The program teaches individuals to function independently in the workplace, at home and in the community. “Check into Literacy” is a grant program of New Jersey Reads in partnership with Verizon. New Jersey Reads is a nonprofit to sustain and expand literacy programs.
