Synagogue to host book and author event Jan. 9

Congregation Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Ave., Metuchen, will be hosting a book and author event at 10 a.m. Jan. 9. Refreshments will be served starting at 9:30 a.m. Four authors will discuss their recently published books, with a question-and-answer period to follow. Copies of the books will be available for purchase and autographing.

Featured authors and their books are Warren Kozak, "The Rabbi of 84th Street: The Extraordinary Life of Haskel Besser"; Michael Nevins, M.D., "Jewish Medical Roots"; Nessa Rapoport, "House on the River: A Summer Journey"; and Mimi Sheraton, former food critic for The New York Times, "Eating My Words: An Appetite for Life."
