Arts society announces winter classes for adults

The Edison Arts Society has announced its daytime winter schedule for adults. All art classes are taught in the main meeting room of the North Edison Branch Library, 777 Grove Ave., and offer a 15-percent discount for senior citizens and members of the arts society. Students must bring their own supplies to class. Courses are as follows:

• Dynamic Watercolors — Taught by artist Ray Skibinski, a published illustrator in “Reader’s Digest” and “Time-Life” magazines, the course begins Jan. 14 and will meet every Friday from noon to 2:30 p.m. for six weeks through Feb. 25 (no class Feb. 11). Cost is $120.

• Basic Realistic Drawing — Also taught by Skibinski, the class begins Feb. 8 and will meet every Tuesday from noon to 2:30 p.m. for six weeks through March 15. Cost is $120.
