The law firm of Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, Middletown, has announced Pamela Johnson Knauer has been named as a shareholder and officer in the firm. A resident of Tinton Falls, Knauer joined the corporate and securities practice at Giordano in 2001. She counsels corporations, limited liability companies and banks in connection with business matters such as corporate organization and incorporation, capital formation, financings and securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Knauer also reviews contracts and negotiates transactions on behalf of corporate and bank clients, and advises the clients on the legal aspects of relationships with shareholders, regulators, creditors, distributors and vendors. Knauer received her juris doctorate degree at New York University, and bachelor of arts degree at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Massachusetts.

Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors has announced its tsunami relief fund campaign totals exceeded $400,000, according to chairman and CEO Larry Flick. Donations from individual sales associates and employees totaled more than $100,000, which was matched by Prudential Fox & Roach and The Trident Group. Prudential Real Estate Affiliates’

Prudential CARES Disaster Relief Fund-South Asia then matched individual and company donations dollar for dollar, with total contributions amounted to more than $400,000. Executives, management, sales associates and employees throughout the company’s offices in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey rallied for the cause.

Joseph “Bud” Mullaney of Mullaney Tire Service, Matawan, was recently named by The Tire Industry Association (TIA), Bowie, Md., as recipient of the TIA Member of the Year Award. The award was created this year by TIA’s board of directors to recognize the association’s member of the year. The award was presented to Mullaney during a ceremony in Las Vegas in November. Mullaney has volunteered several hours as a volunteer on the TIA board of directors. He was also appointed to chair its membership committee and developed a marketing plan that increased membership by more than 50 percent. He has been a member of the TIA board of directors for 24 years, current TIA membership committee chairperson, past president and current board member of the New Jersey State Tire Dealers Association. Mullaney has worked with Boy Scouts Troop No. 66 as a chairman, and is also actively involved with Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

The law firm of Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, P.C., Middletown, has announced Ronald P. Heksch has joined the firm’s commercial litigation department in an of counsel capacity. He focuses on complex environmental litigation, and counsels clients involved in disputes regarding all aspects of environmental law such as solid and hazardous waste, wetlands issues, and water and air pollution. Prior to joining Giordano, the Marlton resident was employed 30 years with the state Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Law.

The Middletown office of Weichert, Realtors, has announced associate Graeme Atkinson was recognized with a Weichert Regional Award for the month of December. Atkinson led the region in the category of new home dollar volume. The region encompasses 20 offices in Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex counties. Atkinson is a member of Weichert’s Sales and Marketed clubs. The Middletown office was also recognized for leading the region in the category of new home dollar volume.

The office also announced Margaret Stevens, A.J. DeMaria, Mack Juzwiak and Gina Balacich were recognized for industry accomplishments during January. Stevens and DeMaria tied in the category of listings. Juzwiak led the office in sales, sold listings, revenue units and dollar volume, while Balacich led the office in marketed listings.

Weichert’s Holmdel office has announced sales associate Cynthia Guariglia was selected as a recipient of the New Jersey Association of Realtors 2004 Good Neighbor Award. She was chosen for her contributions to the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Relay for Life, and a $500 donation in her name will be sent to the ACS. She has worked for the Relay for more than five years, serving as chair and team captain of the Freehold relay, and the National Relay for Life advisory committee, and chairing the eastern division Relay for Life task force.

Christopher J. Schultz, administrator of Holmdel Township, recently received the International City/County Management Association’s (ICMA) credentialed manager designation. To be credentialed, members must have significant experience as a senior management executive in local government, have earned a degree preferably in public administration or a related field, and demonstrated a commitment to high standards of integrity and to lifelong learning and professional development. Schultz possesses seven years’ local government executive experience. Prior to being appointed to his current post in September 2002, he was township administrator for Hainesport Township. He joins seven other New Jersey management professionals credentialed through the ICMA voluntary credentialing program.

Monmouth County Sheriff Joseph W. Oxley was recently honored by the Sheriffs’ Association of New Jersey for his two years’ service as president of the Association. During his tenure, the Association began “Project Lifesaver,” a radio location device for individuals suffering from memory disorders. The program is now available to 13 counties.
