Michael Columbo, John Horvath, Patsyann Ferri and Patricia Flanigan, all sales associates in the Weichert, Realtors’ Old Bridge office, recently were recognized for their industry successes.

Columbo led the office in listings for November. He is a member of Weichert’s Marketed Club.

Horvath led the office in sales and was named overall top producer for November. A member of Weichert’s Sales Club, he qualified for the New Jersey Association of Realtors 2003 Circle of Excellence Sales Club at the bronze level.

Ferri led the office in listings for the month of December. A licensed real estate professional with 20 years’ experience, she is a registered nurse with a business background. She previously worked as a management information systems liaison at the Memorial Medical Center at South Amboy. A member of Weichert’s Million Dollar Club, Ferri qualified for the New Jersey Association of Realtors 2003 Circle of Excellence Sales Club at the bronze level. She also is a certified mentor.

Flanigan led the office in sales and was named overall top producer in December. A licensed real estate professional, she joined Weichert in 1998.

The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, Edison, now offers more than 150,000 square feet of one-story exhibit and meeting space, including the new state-of-the-art Edison Arts Society Conference Center. After expanding by more than 35,000 square feet in 1997, the convention and exposition center has added more than 25,000 square feet to house two ballrooms, as well as several meeting rooms and a high-tech board room. Located approximately 35 minutes south of New York City and about 15 minutes from the Newark airport, the privately managed facility is a multiuse venue, catering to consumer and trade shows, banquets, conferences and religious events. According to the press release, 2004 was a “banner year” for the center, with the addition of the New Jersey Flower and Garden Show and the New Jersey Plant and Engineering Show, along with repeat events such as the Mid-Atlantic Furniture Mart, the Garden State Outdoor Sportsman Show and the Abilities Expo.

Rabbi Bernhard Rosenberg, the spiritual leader of Congregation Beth-El in Edison, has written a new book titled “The Holocaust as Seen Through Film.” Published in 2005 by Beth-El Publishing, the book contains the names and brief descriptions of films representing the themes of rescue and resistance. Rosenberg received his ordination and doctorate of education from Yeshiva University, New York City, and also holds various degrees in communication and education. He teaches graduate courses in Holocaust education at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and at the Moshe Aaron Yeshiva High School of Central New Jersey in South River. Rosenberg, who frequently appears on radio and television, has published hundreds of articles on the Holocaust. He recently received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award and was honored as well with the Chaplain of the Year Award from the New York Board of Rabbis for his efforts during and following 9/11.
