Forty-one Scout entries in four rank divisions took part in the derby — (Webelo II, Webelo I, Bear, and Wolf) The pack awarded trophies to the top three finishers in each rank, and the Scouts will advance to the Central New Jersey Council District Competition March 13. The pack also awarded trophies to the top three overall finishers. Top finishers in the Webelo II division were Brandon Wildemuth, first, Gino Luizza, second, and Christopher Garrin, third. Top finishers in the Webelo I division were Adam Regula, first, Jordan Gonzalez, second, and Brandan Williams, third. Top finishers in the Bear division were Anthony Bianco, first, Nicholas Bianco, second, and Surya Prabhakar, third. Top finishers in the Wolf division were Ryan Butler, first, Preeyam Mehta, second, and Evan Grollman, third. The top 12 abovementioned finishers also raced off against each other for the pack awards, with the top three finishers: Adam Regula first, Brandon Wildemuth, second, and Jordan Gonzalez, third.
SBHS announces Project Graduation events
South Brunswick High School (SBHS) Project Graduation will hold dinner at Chevy’s, 250 Mercer Road, Princeton, Feb. 24 from 4-10 p.m., with 20 percent of proceeds donated to Project Graduation.
The Red River BBque, Route 130, Dayton section of South Brunswick, will donate 5 percent of proceeds to the project each Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Area PNC Banks will donate $10 toward Project Graduation for each new checking account opened now through June 1. A Project Graduation poker night “Texas Hold’em Style,” will be March 5 at the American Legion Post No. 401, Major Road. The event is open to individuals age 21 and older, and cost is $75, which includes buffet dinner with beer and soda, and $400 in poker chips. Seven cash prizes will also be awarded. A bus trip to Trump Plaza, Atlantic City, will be March 13 from 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. The bus will depart the high school at 750 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Cost is $25, which includes $15 in coins, and $5 in food coupons. Refreshments will be served on bus ride.
