March 4

• Dodge Ball Tournament, sponsored by the Old Bridge Coaches Association, 7 p.m., in the gym at Old Bridge High School (OBHS) west campus, Route 516. All proceeds benefit the OBHS Senior Athletes Banquet. Tickets cost $3 for students, $5 for adults.

• Taste of America Food Festival, sponsored by Sayreville/South Amboy Girl Scout Troop No. 1744, a third-year Cadette troop of seventh- to ninth-grade girls, noon to 4 p.m., in the cafeteria at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, MacArthur Avenue, Sayreville. Sampling of food, crafts, entertainment from all 50 states. Admission is $2. A portion of the fee will be donated to the Sayreville Food Bank.

Proceeds will help support Dominic and his family, residents of Milltown, with medical expenses from the young boy’s small intestine and liver transplant. Charge is $15 for adults, $10 for children. • Bargain Book and Media Sale, sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Library, 7-9:30 p.m. on March 7, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. March 8-12, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 13, in the J.C. Penney court at Brunswick Square Mall, Route 18, East Brunswick. A $1 admission charge on the first night only; Friends members admitted free of charge. In the interest of safety, children should not attend on opening night. The East Brunswick Library Puppeteers will offer free puppet shows for youngsters at 7 and 7:30 p.m. on March 9 and 10. Thousands of used hardcover and paperback books, audiobooks, video games, computer software, CDs, prerecorded movies on videocassette — all at discounted prices.
