Atlantic Eye Physicians, 565 Route 34, Middletown, has announced the relocation of its office to an expanded facility at 100 Commons Way, Route 35 south, Holmdel. The facility has served area residents for more than 20 years. The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) – Monmouth/Ocean Chapter will hold a dinner meeting March 24 at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Eatontown, Route 35 north and Industrial Way. Commerce Bank, Cherry Hill, recently named Stephanie L. Hadam as vice president, commercial real estate lending. She will develop customized real estate lending solutions for commercial real estate clients throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties. A resident of North Long Branch, Hadam has more than 16 years of real estate lending experience and most recently served as an executive vice president at Progress Realty Advisors. She is a member of the Long Branch Planning Board, the New Jersey Apartment Association, and the Building Industry Association of New York City. She received her master of business administration degree from Monmouth University, West Long Branch.

The fitness and weight loss center Curves is holding the “Curves Food Drive” to benefit local food banks. Individuals joining the facility the week of March 7 and bringing a bag of groceries will have the normal service fee waived. The Monmouth County Historical Association (MCHA) recently announced 30 local residents have been chosen to serve on the nonprofit’s new Community Advisory Board. The volunteer board advises the MCHA on ways to promote Monmouth County’s history to new audiences. Local residents chosen for the board are Vicky Seretis-Allen, and the Honorable Robert Clifton, Matawan, and Janice Campbell, Lincroft section of Middletown. The advisory board staff consists of Dr. Lee Ellen Griffth, MCHA director, Freehold; Sue Kozel, consultant, Cream Ridge; Cassandra Patterson, MCHA membership manager, Neptune; and Kevin Coyne, MCHA board liaison, Freehold.

J. Richard Goldstein, M.D., Ocean, was recently nominated for appointment to the State of New Jersey Medical Care Availability Task Force. Both nominations were filed by acting Gov. Richard J. Codey.

Lucent and Bell Labs retirees are invited to join Lucent Retirees Organization (LRO, an organization that attempts to provide retirees with a voice to protect their pensions and prevent further erosion of retirement benefits.

The LRO embodies the interests of 235,000 retirees and dependents, according to Dom Gurrera, of Point Pleasant, an LRO member. Membership in the LRO is comprised of individuals under the Lucent pension plan, including all Lucent and Bell Labs retirees, and those who retired when the company was known as Western Electric and/or AT&T Network Systems, plus subsidiaries such as Teletype and Sandia. The LRO helps members and their families with issues relating to their pensions, benefits, Social Security and Medicare.
