Sisters in Crime plans mystery symposium

Best-selling author Andrea Kane will be the keynote speaker at the Sisters in Crime Central Jersey Clued-In Readers and Writers Mystery Symposium set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on April 2 at the Jamesburg Senior Center, 139 Stevens Ave.

The event will offer a full day of law-and-order workshops, forensic and legal experts and a book fair. Advance registration is required. Check-in is set for 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event.

Cost is $40 for the day.

Kane, a New Jersey author, broke into the romantic mystery-suspense genre with her New York Times bestseller “Run for Your Life.” Since then, she has followed up with the thrillers “No Way Out,” “Scent of Danger” and “I’ll Be Watching You.” Prior to writing suspense novels, she authored 14 historical romances.

Kane will sign books at the book fair at 4:30 p.m. along with other New Jersey mystery authors including Gil Burgess, Eileen Watkins and Rebecca Russell. Proceeds from the used books on sale will benefit the Literacy Volunteers of America-New Jersey.
