OBITUARIES: Jean Tunick

Jean Tunick
   Jean Markowitz Tunick, 90, of Monroe, died Wednesday, March 16, at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Peoria, Ill., Ms. Tunick lived in Elizabeth and Linden, and Wilmington, Del., before moving to Monroe several years ago.
   Ms. Tunick was a graduate of Wilmington High School and Goldey College, both of Wilmington. She was very active for many years with B’nai B’rith, the Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah, Deborah, Brandeis University Women and the Jewish Congregation of Concordia.
   Her husband, Henry, died in 1988; a son, Franklin, died in 1967; and a daughter, Elaine Toth, died in 1983. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Toth of Hayward, Calif., and Franklin Toth of Boca Raton, Fla.; and her great-grandson, Brandon Toth.
   Graveside funeral services were Sunday, March 20, at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements were by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick.
