George Yuhas

Mr. Yuhas, 76, of East Brunswick, died April 4 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Shenandoah, Pa., he resided in Jersey City prior to moving to East Brunswick in 1962. He was a retired operating engineer at Local 25 Marine Division. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4699, Sayreville, and the American Legion, Tuckerton. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce. He is survived by his wife, Mary Eileen O’Reilly Yuhas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Denise Yuhas of Millstone Township, and John and Dawn Yuhas of South Brunswick; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Ann Tommasi of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ellen and Thomas Richard of Millstone Township; two brothers, Peter Yuhas of Pennsylvania, and Steven Yuhas of California; three sisters, Mary Rydwin of Jersey City, Eva Talento of Long Island, N.Y., and Helen Kravitz of Chatham; and 10 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 7 at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge. Arrangements are by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.

Helen D. Chmielewski Savino

Mrs. Savino, 83, of East Brunswick, died April 2 in Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Hazlet. Surviving are her husband, Frank W. Savino Sr.; a daughter, Helene Bogusz of Matawan; a son, Frank W. Savino Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Josie Wroclawski of Tuckerton; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Jane Hartley Lansdale

Mrs. Lansdale, 48, of Spotswood, formerly of Monroe, died March 31 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was employed for the past 26 years with the Ford Motor Co., Edison. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert E. and Joan L. Allread Hartley. Surviving are a daughter, Katy Thorne of Jersey City; two sons, Andy and Chris Lansdale, both of Spotswood; a brother, Bruce Hartley of Sparks, Nev.; and a granddaughter. A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. on April 9 at Lester Memorial Home, Jamesburg. Cremation will be private.

William S. Ruby

Mr. Ruby, 75, of East Brunswick, died March 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was a chemical engineer with Asea Brown Boveri, North Brunswick, where he worked for 20 years. He was a former member of the East Brunswick Zoning Board of Adjustment. Surviving are his wife, Adelaide Grant Ruby; a son, Stephen G. Ruby of Superior, Colo.; two daughters, Kathryn M. Lunde of Hatfield, Pa., and Anne E. Kelch of Oxnard, Calif.; a brother, Adam Ruby of Lehighton, Pa.; two sisters, Gladys Hocutt of Jamestown, R.I., and Virginia Eulie of Port Richey, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. Andre P. Poignonnec

Mr. Poignonnec, 91, of Milltown, died March 26 in Sunrise Assisted Living, East Brunswick. His first wife, Theresa, died in 1977, and his second wife, Marie, died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Michael Poignonnec of East Brunswick and Wayne Evans of Massachusetts; two daughters, Judy VanPelt of East Brunswick and Andrea Evans of Milltown; a special friend, Karen Theer of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. A blessing was offered at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Kenneth Henne

Mr. Henne, 86, of Sayreville, died March 27 in Alameda Care Center, Perth Amboy. Prior to his retirement in 2001, he was the manager of the River Front Hotel, South River, where he worked for 20 years, and manager of the YMCA, New Brunswick. Before that, he was a machine operator for 20 years for Quigley Co., Old Bridge. Surviving are a brother, Alfred “Al” Henne of Sayreville; two sisters, May Henne Kocsis Layton of Tuckerton and Dorothy Henne Kregeloh Byron of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Theresa E. Chadwick Braun

Mrs. Braun, 67, of East Brunswick, died March 29 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, the Rev. N. Joseph Braun, died in 2002. Surviving are three children, the Rev. Steven Braun of East Brunswick, Cathleen T. Nicoletti of Philadelphia and Barbara J. Voges of Avon, N.Y.; two brothers, Leon E. Chadwick of Williamstown and John E. Chadwick of the Blackwood section of Gloucester; and 12 grandchildren. A service was held at East Brunswick Baptist Church. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the music ministry at East Brunswick Baptist Church.

Joan Irene Sefeldt Fox

Mrs. Fox, 71, of Monroe, died March 27 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Surviving are her husband, Paul Fox; six sons, David and Richard Fox of Barnegat, Steven and John Fox of Brooklyn, N.Y., Thomas Fox of Old Bridge and Larry Fox of the Leonardo section of Middletown; two daughters, Susan Fox-Forsythe of the Belford section of Middletown and Mary Cantwell of Brooklyn; a sister, Carole Gray of Arizona; and 20 grandchildren. Services were held at Eckman Funeral Home, Spotswood. Entombment was in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

Thomas B. Daley Sr.

Mr. Daley, 88, of Old Bridge, died March 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. During the 1960s, he was the owner of Daley’s Diner, Edison. Prior to his retirement in 1980, he was employed by Kimberly Clark, Spotswood. His wife, Dorothy H. Daley, died in 1990. Surviving are seven children, Thomas B. Daley of the Whiting section of Manchester, Mary A. Cox of Millstone, Patricia M. Albrecht and Sharon R. Yonck, both of Old Bridge, state Superior Court Judge Roger W. Daley of East Brunswick, Dorothy A. “Babe” Daley of Monroe and Frank J. Spano; two sisters, Agnes Petrics of Belmar and Edwina Forman of Millstone; a brother, Frederick Daley of the South Seaville section of Dennis; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Gertrude B. Hoffman Kuntne

Mrs. Kuntne, 82, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died March 26 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement, she was the owner for 40 years of Village Inn Liquors, Washington Road, Parlin. Before that, she was employed with E.I. DuPont, Parlin. Her husband, Frank Kuntne, died in 1989; a son, Michael Kuntne, died in 1993; and a grandson, Bryan, died in 2002. Surviving are a son, Paul E. Kuntne of Vallejo, Calif.; a great-grandson, Bryan T. Kuntne of Parlin; and many nephews and cousins. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Viola Ronge Vitale

Mrs. Vitale, 77, of East Brunswick, formerly of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, died March 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph J. Vitale, died in 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Diane Palmer of East Brunswick; a son, state Sen. Joseph F. Vitale (D-19); a brother, Joseph B. Ronge Jr. of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at First Presbyterian Church, Avenel section of Woodbridge. Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden.
