Ten candidates have thrown their hats into the ring for Township Council in East Windsor and Borough Council in Hightstown.
Monday was the deadline to file for the June 7 primary elections, which will feature uncontested races in the borough and township.
In East Windsor, where there are three open council seats, the three incumbent Democrats will face three Republican newcomers in November.

The Republicans, none of whom has served on Township Council before, are: David Bock of Greenwich Court; Shari J. Benson of Surrey Lane, who ran for Township Council in 2003; and Marc Pollack of Kellington Drive.
In Hightstown, where two Borough Council seats are open, two Republican incumbents and two Democratic newcomers declared bids.
The Democrats, none of whom has served on Borough Council before, are: Constance Harendza-Harinxma of South Street and Ryan Rosenberg of Lincoln Avenue.
The Republicans are: Nancy Walker-Laudenberger of South Main Street, who seeks her fourth term on Borough Council, and Ronald C. Sackowitz of Powell Court, who was appointed to Borough Council in January after the resignation of Susan Holtzclaw.
