Rhythm and Moves School of Music and Dance, 990 Inman Ave., Edison, was awarded for the second year in a row an Extraordinary Studio Award at the Dance Arts Plus competition recently held in Edison. The dance “Jungle Love” won a gold award in the 13- to 15-year-old hip-hop category in addition to the Butterfly Wings Award for the most contagious smiles in the competition. A gold award winner, Stephanie Trela, 14, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, also received the Rising Star Award. Gold award winner Chelsea Becker, 12, of Old Bridge, was presented as well with the Sparkling Personality Award. The competition team won 13 gold awards among a total of 13 dance numbers over three days. The girls have qualified for finals, which will be held in July in Poconos, Pa.
