Chester I. Robbins

   Chester I. Robbins, 88, died Friday at his home.
   Born in Rocky Hill, Mr. Robbins had been a resident of Hopewell for 59 years.
   He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WW II.
   Mr. Robbins worked for the General Service Administration, retiring in 1980. He was a member and elder of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church and a member of Hopewell Valley American Legion Post 339 and the Hopewell Valley Leisure Club.
   Preceded in death by his parents Irving and Edith Robbins and his brother Milton Robbins, he is survived by E. Rena Robbins, his wife of 63 years; a daughter Carol Anne Kiernan and her husband Jerry; a son Douglas Robbins and his wife Linda; brothers Carl Robbins and his wife Ruth and Clifford Robbins and his wife Margaret; a sister-in-law Connee Robbins; grandchildren Michael and Alan Kiernan and Lindsay and Laurel Robbins; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 80 W. Broad St., Hopewell.
   Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be today (Monday) from 6-9 p.m. at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St., Hopewell.
   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
