Gary G. Canaris

Mr. Canaris, 51, of Long Branch, died April 2 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Bayonne, he resided in Lyndhurst before moving to Long Branch 12 years ago. Ms. Canaris is survived by his wife, Michele Linfante Canaris; his children Carly, Jesse and Nicholas Canaris; his mother, Stella Canaris; a sister, Victoria Canaris; and a brother, John Canaris. Arrangements were by Nazare Memorial Home Inc., Lyndhurst.

Joyce Patricia Clausen

Mrs. Clausen, 76, of Cherry Hill, died April 23 at Silver Care Center, Cherry Hill. Born in Freehold, she had resided in Eatontown before moving to Cherry Hill three years ago. Mrs. Clausen was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Erling William Clausen, in 2002; and a daughter, Cristi Clausen, in 1997. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Joy and Alan Cohen of Voorhees; and two grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Mina Muller

Mrs. Muller, 104, of Tinton Falls, died April 6 at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. Born in Switzerland, she resided in the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, prior to moving to Tinton Falls in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft section of Middletown. She was a former member of the Elberon Women’s Club, Elberon section of Long Branch, and Swiss Club of Toms River. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Muller in 1976; seven brothers; and six sisters. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Thomas S. Joyce; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. Eleanor M. Orsetti

Mrs. Orsetti, 93, of Freehold Township, died April 14 at The Manor Care Center, Freehold Township. Born in New York City, she had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Manalapan before moving to Freehold Township eight years ago. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. Mrs. Orsetti was predeceased in 1975 by her husband, Olinto C. Orsetti. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert F. and Marian Orsetti of Manalapan and Gary C. and Kathleen Orsetti of Red Bank; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Hightstown. Interment took place at Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to The Manor, c/o North Nursing Station, 689 W. Main St., Freehold 07728.

Virginia M. Tallon

Mrs. Tallon, 86, of Red Bank, died April 19 at Care One at Holmdel. Born in Hoboken, she resided there prior to moving to Red Bank 15 years ago. She was an administrative secretary for the Hoboken Board of Education for 35 years, retiring in 1988. She was a communicant of St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel, and former communicant of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, Hoboken. She served as a Girl Scout leader for several years. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Rita Tallon in 1972. She is survived by a cousin, Patricia Mitten of Hoboken; and several other cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Catharine’s Church. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
